Basorun Ganiat – Head Horticulture Research And Development.

Mrs. Basorun Ganiat Okikiola began her Civil Service career with the then Lagos State Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives in May 1995 as the Officer in charge of women in Agriculture.

She also worked at the Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty alleviation as head Poverty Alleviation Department briefly between January 2011-June 2012 before her deployment to Lagos State Parks and Gardens Agency in the same capacity as head of Horticultural Research and Development Department from June 2012 till date.

Mrs. Basorun was educated at the University of Minnesota, United State of America, where she obtained BSC in Food Science and Nutrition in 1985 and her college at Minneapolis Community College in 1982. She also attended Ansarudeen High School, Surulere and her elementary and secondary school years were at Mayflower Junior and secondary School, Ikene Ogun State.

She is married with children.
